The Balvenie Portwood 21 Year Old was awarded the trophy for 'best single malt 12 years and over' at the 2004 International Wine and Spirits competition, being described by the judges as 'class in a glass'. The Balvenie Portwood 21 Year Old was also awarded a gold medal at the International Spirits Challenge 2004.
