2007 Brancott Sauvignon Blanc Rail Bridge Marlborough

89 points Stephen Tanzer: `Rather raw aromas of capsicum, fresh herbs and lemon. Then densely packed and vibrant on the palate, with the slightly raw green pepper, fennel and lemon thyme flavors sweetened by tropical fruits. Plenty of energy and spine here. This rich, broad wine finishes with very good focus and length.` Wine Spectator: `Tart and very grassy, with good intensity to jalapeño and citrus flavors. Drink now. Tasted twice, with consistent notes.` Robert Parker: `The 2007 Terroir Series Rail Bridge Awatere Sauvignon Blanc has the most minerally intense nose of the three I tasted in the range, with a typical cat?s pee and gooseberry-led nose, the palate balanced, perhaps a little anodyne but with a nice touch of spice and tomato leaf on the finish.`
