The vines grow on terraces supported by dry stone walls skilfully built by Eliseo, one of the Speri brothers, and guardian of a dying art. The 2004 Amarone is classic and refined, with aromas of baked cherries, figs and cloves. Medium to full bodied, with fine tannins and a lingering finish.”
