2005 Falesco Montiano Merlot IGT Lazio
92 Points - Wine Spectator: `Very pretty mineral, blackberry, licorice and dark chocolate aromas follow through to a full-bodied palate, with ultrafine tannins and a gorgeous finish. Merlot. Best from 2008 through 2014. 5,000 cases made. 90 Points Stephen Tanzer: Very dark inky-ruby color. Slightly roasted aromas of black cherry, sandalwood and prune are freshened by strawberry and raspberry topnotes. Fat, supple and full, with sweet, sexy flavors of ripe black cherry and milk chocolate nicely framed by ripe acids. Turns just a little raisiny on the long finish, but this is one of the more refined versions of Montiano of the last few years.
